Shove Tuesday commonly known as Pancake Day!

There is nothing better, or fun, than to make your own pancakes and flip them at home in your kitchen. But what receipe to use? There's so many online but to simplify your search we've listed five of our favourites below for you to enjoy!

Did you Know?

The word shrove is a form of the English word shrive, which means to obtain absolution for one's sins by way of Confession and doing penance. Thus Shrove Tuesday gets its name from the custom for Christians to be "shriven" before the start of Lent.

But why Pancakes?

Pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent because they were a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent.
